Announcing my online course

Find out what I've been secretly working on for the past few months

I've been a bit rubbish at blogging recently and that's because I've been spending every spare minute working on a very exciting project. Don't worry, I'm not going to do that annoying thing where I say I can't tell you what it is because of how super secret it is etc etc. I'm going to bore you stupid about it instead & you’ll probably wish it was super secret!

A decluttering update

I wanted to give you a quick decluttering update, as I know many of you are in the same boat and drowning in cluttered houses that feel overwhelming and too small as a result. Here's the background to our embracing minimalism this year in case you didn't catch it and here's the last decluttering update I wrote. I'm hiding upstairs in my bedroom as I'm writing this while my eldest has a tutoring session downstairs. Having a tutor come to the house on a Saturday morning used to cause a significant amount of stress. The state of the house gets considerably worse throughout the week and by Saturday, it usually looks like we've been victims of a house invasion!

Saturday morning stress

Cleaning spray bottle top and rubber gloves over tiled floor

Previously, 'tidying up' for the tutor would mainly involve hiding a load of stuff upstairs for the duration of the visit (pretty terrible eh!) and a huge cleaning effort. It took hours and was usually done in a panic as I hadn't left enough time.

Fast forward to this morning, the house looked a right state (I thought this was a progress update?? I hear you cry!), but encouragingly took a lot less time to sort out and minimal amounts of 'stuff' was trekked upstairs to hide! This morning, the cleaning was easier as I'd been able to keep on top of it better recently because more of the floor was actually visible (not even exaggerating!)due to their being considerably less stuff in each room of the house. The only fly in the ointment today, was my toolboxes and DIY crap which was all out from a DIY session last night…oh well I guess Rome wasn’t built in a day. In short, the decluttering is starting to work, if you are tempted, let’s do it together…get started and let me know how you get on.

The big announcement

Right, back to the excuse for my lack of blog posts. Cue drumroll, I’m writing a course! It’s an online, self-paced creative DIY and interior styling on a budget course and I’m so excited to be able to share it with you all soon.

Who is my online course for?

I've written my online course for anyone who wants to learn my methods for planning, sourcing and executing creative DIY and interior styling projects on a budget, here are just a few examples of who will find it useful...

  • People who want to update their home interiors but only have a modest budget and are looking for some inspiration and ideas that are achievable and easy to follow.

  • People who work from home, so spend a LOT of time looking at the same rooms wishing they were a bit more personal or interesting, but don’t know where to start.

  • People looking for strategies and techniques to stretch their DIY & decorating budget as far as possible

  • Maybe you’ve just moved and have lots of decorating to do but have a limited budget, so need some hints and tips on saving money without sacrificing style.

  • You might have been living where you are for a while, but it’s never quite ‘felt right’ and you’d like some ideas on simple updates you could make to feel connected to your home.

Why you should buy this course

There’s a lot of information out there, my blog included and it can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming. With the best intentions in the world, it’s easy to end up down a Pinterest rabbit hole, having not really achieved anything and feeling even more confused than before you started!

In this course, I’ll walk you through the principles I use when approaching DIY and interior styling projects at home to help you form a strategy for your own projects. I’ve included step-by-step tutorials, so if you don’t fancy coming up with creative ideas you can borrow mine!

The course is super affordable and you’ll save the money back almost immediately if you take advantage of the exclusive discount codes that I’ve bagged for you from a selection of trusted brands.
